FAQ

“What battery is compatible with your Delta 8 THC Vapes?”

Our Delta 8 THC vape cartridges are compatible with any 510-threaded battery. You will need to have a 510 compatible battery in order to use effectively use any vape product. Batteries are not included with our vapes and must be purchased separately.

How do I prevent my vape cartridge from clogging?”

Clogging commonly occurs when excess vapor cools and then condenses along the walls of the inner cartridge. When enough of this vapor has re-solidified into oil, the buildup can block the airway and make it difficult or impossible to draw air through the mouthpiece. There are two easy solutions: One to prevent the problem and the other to solve it. To reduce the buildup of vapor oil, continue pulling on the cart several seconds after releasing the button. By drawing cold air through the mouthpiece, you are siphoning excess oil that would otherwise stick to the sides, ensuring less condensation. This is by far the most effective way to prevent blockage.

Taking softer hits will also help preserve the life of your vape cartridge. Pulling too hard can draw excess oil into the airway instead of vapor, which leads to clogging. This is known as a “flooded” cart, because the oil has flooded the airway.
If your cartridge is already showing signs of blockage, removing the oil is the easiest way to get it back up and running smoothly. Stick a toothpick or other thin object into the mouthpiece and scrape the sides for residue. You’ll likely find a small pocket where the oil is collecting. Once removed, air should once again begin flowing through the chamber freely.

Why does my cartridge taste burnt?

Our cartridges are stored and shipped upside down to prevent leaking. When stored this way, any air in the cartridge is forced upward and eventually surrounds the cotton wick. If you do not flip and prime the cartridge before use, the coil will draw in air rather than oil, and burn the cotton of the coil until the surrounding metal warms and oil fills the chamber. This gap in oil flow is likely the reason you experienced a burnt taste after your first 15 or so puffs on the cartridge.

“What is CBD?”

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a compound in the cannabis plant with proven therapeutic benefits. It does not get you high, but it has been shown to be effective in treating a wide range of ailments, and there are currently numerous government-backed studies being conducted on its many uses. CBD can be paired with other parts of the cannabis plant to enhance or change its effects. That is often why you will see terpenes or other cannabinoids in our oils.

“What are terpenes?”

Terpenes exist in almost every plant and fruit. They are aromatic oils that exist to lure pollinators and repel predators. Often, your favorite cannabis strains are defined by their terpene flavor profile. Cannabis terpenes actually come from the same glands that create the cannabinoids, and it is thought that they play a role in differentiating the effects of each strain.

Why are there terpenes and minor cannabinoids in my CBD and delta 8 products?”

Our CBD and delta 8 products benefit from what is known as the “Entourage or Ensemble effect.” This dictates that each cannabinoid grows more potent when other compounds from the cannabis plant are present. In short, the effects are magnified. Terpenes and the other cannabinoids help make CBD and delta 8 far more effective than they would be on their own, which results in more effective treatment. Click here to browse our glossary of cannabinoid terms and learn about all of the ingredients in our products.

What is MCT and why is it in my product?”

MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) is a coconut-derived carrier oil. A carrier oil is any plant-based oil that helps “carry” the cannabis compounds into your body. Most tinctures are more effective when introduced with a carrier oil, which increases their overall therapeutic benefits. Many people cook with MCT oils, and they are actually thought to possess several useful properties.

How do I take tincture?”

Tinctures are intended to be taken under the tongue, but they can also be applied to the skin in small amounts. When using orally, place 2-6 drops under your tongue and hold them in place for 90 seconds before swallowing.

“Why do I need to sign for a vape cartridge delivery?”

DeltaVera is complying fully with all new requirements from this and one of those requirements is that vape deliveries must be signed for upon delivery by USPS.

“Do you offer free shipping?”

Delta 8-THC or Delta 8-Tetrahydrocannabinol is a new, cutting edge cannabinoid (derived from Hemp) which carries psychoactive effects and euphoric feelings associated with the typical properties associated with cannabis use. Additionally, Delta 8-THC is known for its anti-nausea, anti-anxiety, appetite stimulating and stress reducing properties.

“What is the difference in Delta 8-THC and Delta 9-THC?”

The main difference in Delta 8-THC and Delta 9-THC is federal and state legality. Delta 8-THC is fully federally legal and legal 38 states, while Delta 9-THC is federally illegal and illegal in most states. Both Delta 8-THC and Delta 9-THC produce euphoric psychoactive effects on users and carry a wide variety of medical and recreational benefits.

Delta 8-THC is superior to the traditional and illegal Delta 9-THC because it carries basically every benefit and effect of Delta 9-THC but is fully federally legal and legal in 38 states in the United States.

“How is Delta 8-THC legal to produce and sell in the USA?”

Since products contain only Delta 8-THC made from 100% Hemp extract, companies are able to fully legally manufacture, distribute and sell to consumers in the United States. Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, ratified and signed into law in December 2018, Cannabis containing less than 0.3% Delta 9-THC is legally classified as Hemp and thus is legal for all intents and purposes under federal law. Let’s also not forget, THC itself isn’t federally illegal, only specifically Delta 9-THC is.

“What is the difference between CBD and THC?”

The difference in CBD (Cannabidiol) and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is that CBD doesn’t carry the psychoactive effects that THC does. CBD can be used for numerous health reasons but it will never give the consumer the psychoactive effects that Delta 8 and Delta 9 would provide. THC carries most, if not all benefits of CBD, but also introduces the “high” euphoric feeling which can be hugely beneficial for many users.

“What does “Hemp Derived THC” mean?”

“Hemp Derived THC” means that the THC is entirely produced from Hemp. Under the 2018 Farm Bill, which clarifies that “Hemp” is any cannabis plant containing less than 0.3% Delta 9-THC, Hemp is federally legal for all purposes under federal law. “IS DELTA-8 LEGAL?”

The 2018 Farm Bill legalized all hemp production and everything in the composition of hemp other than Delta-9-THC, of which hemp must contain below 0.3%.
