If you’re looking to learn about THCP, then this post is for you.

THCP is the most potent THC analog so far. This THC analog is incredibly promising for all cannabis fans.

There’s no shortage of THC analogs in 2022. The public has become interested in using delta 9 THC alternatives—such as delta 10 THC and delta 8 THC. However, more recently, a synthetic form of THC called THC-O has also become popular.

What Is THCP?

THCP is a newly found, naturally occurring analog of THC. The only difference between THCP and THC is the addition of two extra carbons in the former’s chemical structure.

THC, for example, has five carbons on its alkyl side chain. However, THCP has seven carbons on its alkyl side chain.

So what does that all mean in Layman’s terms? Simply, it is more potent than ordinary THC. It could make you feel considerably higher with a smaller dose.

Although the UNIHEMP research project only found this cannabinoid in 2019, many suggest it has been around for years. In addition, many argue that’s why some cannabis strains are considerably more psychoactive than other strains—even though they have the same or fewer THC concentrations.

The UNIHEMP research project only found THCP by accident. Initially, they examined the chemical profile of a strain named FM2 when they stumbled across THCP and CBDP. According to the researchers, CDBP has almost no interaction with the endocannabinoid system, so there’s little interest in further research.

In contrast, researchers are particularly interested in this cannabinoid because they believe it has 30 times the binding affinity of THC. As a result, THCP could be 5 to 10 times more potent than THC.

At DeltaVera we strongly believe that THCP can offer a safe, enjoyable and healthy experience. Thank you for reading.
